hi
i'm trying to make a solution of edta 0.5M
as said in books, edta will dissolve in ph near 8
but i want an edta solution at ph 7.2 without any chloridric acid addition.
is it possible?

I've never heard of EDTA at a pH lower than 8. sad.gif
Sorry can't be of much help. Definitely doesn't dissolve using HCl until you reach very close to 8.

EDTA won't go into solution until you reach pH 8.0.

Di sodium salt of EDTA should dissolve at 7.2. But, i donot the know the probability at 0.5M concentration.
