Just give MS's bing a try to see how useful it is compared to google. It seems that the relevance of bing's results improves some over its live search. I use wildcard search a lot when googling. To my surprise bing ignors my wildcard * in my search phrases. For example, searching "caused * inhibition of cell growth", it only returns the exact phrase "caused inhibition of cell growth", searching "cells were transfected by * for " returns no results at all, while google gives 99 hits.
Can you believe it, Microsoft does not know there is a term called wildcard in the search business! Give me a reason why I have to bing!
