| Product Description | Eppendorf HotMasterMix is a 2.5x concentrated, ready-to-use reagent mix for performing "hot start" PCR using minimal pipettings steps. The kit contains all reagents necessary to perform the polymerase chain reaction except the primer and template DNA. The key component of the reagent mix is the HotMaster Taq DNA Polymerase which consists of is Eppendorf's Taq DNA Polymerase complexed with the proprietary HotMaster inhibitor (patent pending). A unique performance feature of the Eppendorf HotMasterMix is sustained temperature control throughout PCR. Temperature control is achieved because the HotMaster inhibitor can go through multiple temperature cycles without irreversible heat inactivation. The HotMasterMix buffer is formulated to automatically adjust the Mg2+ concentration, eliminating the need to optimize this critical component. |
