Product Description	CounterTrace II™ is an updated version of the CounterTrace DNA sequencing program and reagent designed for use with the ABI KB basecaller on the ABI3730 and 3730xl DNA sequencing instruments. The CounterTrace II DNA sequencing software uses an internal sizing standard DNA reagent to enable the accurate signal processing of each DNA sequencing trace. The CounterTrace standard is composed of DNA fragments of known size labeled with a proprietary fluorophore. The CounterTrace II DNA sequencing software uses the location of the CounterTrace standard peaks in the processing of the DNA trace data. The resulting improved automated DNA traces can be base- and quality-called using the KB DNA sequencing basecaller. The CounterTrace II DNA program offers increases in alignable KB Q20+ read lengths of up to 30% for individual traces, with an average of 15–20% in high throughput DNA sequencing facilities. The CounterTrace II DNA sequencing software is also suitable for use in smaller scale DNA sequencing core facilities.
