Product DescriptionThe QualTrace DNA sequencing analysis software enables the real time detection of sequencing failures on the ABI3730 and 3730xl sequencing instruments. QualTrace works by analyzing the raw trace data contained within each sequencing trace file for problems that limit sequencing read length. The QualTrace software can detect:

  • DNA traces that contain no data due to failed reactions or capillaries
  • Mixed trace signal resulting from multiple DNA templates
  • Noisy (weak) traces
  • Weak signal strength at the end of the DNA sequencing trace
  • Early mixed trace signal due to template contamination by PCR products
  • Delayed start of the trace signal
  • ABI3730 spectral calibration problems
  • Leftover BigDye reagent peaks (dye blobs)

    QualTrace is compatibility with both the ABI KB and 3XX basecallers.
