RT-PCR some questions - (Jun/27/2005 )
Can the reverse transcription reaction be done on one day and PCR the next day? Then where/how do I store my cDNA Or should both be done at the same time? How does the time lag between an RT and PCR matter?
Thanks in advance,

I presume you are doing two step RT-PCR. I store first strand cDNA at -20 C till needed.

After RT, you can do PCR right away or 2-3 years later.
You can store the RT reaction at 4C for short term or -20C for longer time.
If you are going to do one-step RT-PCR, you program your thermal cycler to do RT first, then do PCR.
