Waterplant similar to Elodea? - (Oct/02/2008 )
Hi
I am looking for a waterplant, which is similar to Elodea.
In terms of: easy to "use" in (school) laboratory and that includes: produces enough O2 within a day to make good measurements, low requirements regarding nutrition, similar structure and form.
Any suggestions?
Thanks very much for help! ![]()

Ceratophyllum (hornwort) looks at least somewhat similar, and is also a completely submerged growing species occurring in the same habitats as Elodea. But I've no idea about its requirements and physiology.
