why there are bubble in cell? - (Dec/20/2007 )
recently i found that after thraw cells from liquid nitrogen, i found that the condition of cells are not good, even after culture for two weeks, during the two weeks i subcuture the cells twice, still there are some bubble in some cells, my professor told me that if there are bubble in the cell that means the cell will die,

apoptotic cells are bubbling. there are bubbles around the cells. the membrane is reorganized.

what you observed are vacuoles which are caused by stress; try to find out what kind of stress works, or may be the cells are damaged...

yes the vacuoles r due to stress
it depnds on cell type also (some r more sensitive) which cells r u using ; cos?
r u taking too much time in thawing
was the serum in required amount?
