Protease inhibitors - (Jun/14/2004 )
Hi all,
I need your help!
I am cultivating yeast for recombinant protein expression. But, as I can see in westerns blots, the protein seems to be degraded. But the degradation begins with the first culture hours so I need protease inhibitors for cultures, not for extracts.
Does anyone know some kind of proteases inhibitors for cultures?
Thanks in advance

Protease inhibitors are toxic to living cells-you will compromise growth and induce heat shock responses. Try changing the pH of growth to 0.5 units above or below what you are using presently.
