does anyoneg know if malei acid buffer used for dig marking after northern or southern blot can be replace by something else?
I hear that some people use tris-HCl instead of it...

are you taking about probe stripping/ re probing
for reprobing i use Tris-Hcl and SDS solution, i can give you the recipie if you want it.

i meant inmunodetection with DiG
I usually use maleic acid buffer for hybridisation with Dig-labeled probed...after both, northern and southern blot....but we run out of maleic acid and I need the results as soon as possible.
I you have any receipt I would really appreciate it.......
