intrinsic fluorescence of DNA - (Dec/25/2006 )

Hi all,

if a fluorophore emits fluorescence outside the visible wavelength, no color can be seen but can i at least see some light flashing?

i am trying to visualize the intrinsic fluorescence of DNA which emits weak fluorescence at 330nm (excited at 287nm).

thank you!!

by definition, if it is outside of the visible spectrum then you can't see it.

Indeed, if it's outside the visible spectrum, we can't see it. You could measure it with photon counting.
