70% EtOH or 70% IPA does not have any significant effects on many types of fungal/mold spores so be careful. Sani-Cloth® wipes (quaternary ammonium compounds) are a very good alternative for disinfection of materials for cell culture and without the pleasent Sporicidin® Scent. huh.gif

how do you figure?

do you think that any organisms will be removed from solution? some will always float back in (not very effective).

or

are you thinking about passing the solution through a sterile centrifugal filter? that is sterile filtration.

is there something that i'm missing?
