Does anyone know how to write software to sequence database management and analysis ?

hi, you should be more specific about what kind of analysis you plan to do. there are many standard software packages available for DNA/RNA sequence analysis like GCG package etc.
else, if u are good at programming one can simply use FORTRAN or C language to program most of that stuff.

If I have large sum of DNA sequence, I would like to generate somethings just like blast program to search among the large sum of DNA sequence. How can I do that ? Is there any books or papers talk about how to do that ? thx a lot
