Designing primers in UTRs - (Jan/17/2014 )

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out why some people design primers in untranslated regions as I want to use some published ones but they are designed for those regions. If I use them to amplify cDNA, will any genomic dna be amplified too? Could I face any problems with amplification? I read that those regions are not so stable...

Any primer for cDNA will give amplification with genomic DNA. treat RNA with DNAase to avoid that.
