RNA extraction protocol for small amounts of cells - (Aug/31/2010 )

Hi,

I'm looking for a good standart protocol for extracting RNA from relatively small amounts of human cells (5,000 - 10,000). Maybe here's anybody who could give me a hint, please?

Most people use Trizol method, there is a comprehensive protocol on wikipedia covering all steps. This is not really a low amount to get RNA from. 10^4 will give you enough RNA.
